Traditionally used as a demulcent, expectorant herb in assisting respiratory conditions such as mucous and catarrhal build-up and irritation of the upper respiratory tract. It can also be taken as an aid to give up smoking. Part of the herb used is the Leaves.
When dried Mullein burns easily. Hence its leaves and stem were often used as candle wicks. The dried stems and flowers were sometimes dipped in suet to make them burn longer.
Mullein is a remedy that has been shown to support the respiratory system. It shows expectorant properties that can assist to relieve coughs and mild lung congestion. It also contains mucilage and it is this that accounts for the soothing qualities of the herb.

Each äóÁí_í‡preservative freeäóÁ—È capsule contains 320mg of Verbascum thapsus leaf powder.
Adults: take three to six capsules with a meal three times daily, depending on severity of symptoms.
For children aged 6-12 years: take two capsules with a meal three times daily.
