Mode of Action
Echinacea has been extensively investigated and is known to have a variety of actions on the immune system, including elevation of serum white blood cell count (when numbers are low), promotion of non-specific T-cell activation (leading to a range of other activities including increased activity of natural killer cells and stimulating the release of interferon), enhancement of macrophage activity, as well as having antibacterial and antiviral properties.
This high dose product is indicated for the relief of symptoms of infections, particularly those of the upper respiratory tract such as cold, flu and sinusitis.
Contraindications and Cautions
- Not recommended for use in pregnancy or lactation
- Echinacea should not be taken at high doses for more than eight weeks at a time
- Caution is advised until further information is available regarding the use of Echinacea in auto-immune disease and leukaemia
Side Effects
- May produce excessive salivation and a mild tingling effect on the tongue, therefore it is recommended that this product be diluted before taking

Physical Description
A green - brown, free flowing liquid.
Dosage
Adults - Take 1 - 2 mL by measure three times a day, or as professionally prescribed. Shake well & add to juice or water before taking
Children (from 6 years to 12 years) - Take 0.5 - 1 mL 3 times a day, or as professionally prescribed.
Children (from 3 years to 5 years) - Take 0.5 mL 3 times a day, or as professionally prescribed. Shake well & add to juice or water before taking. Not to be taken by children under 2 years
