Eyebright has traditionally been used for the temporary relief of symptoms of nasal catarrh, hayfever, and sinusitis. Eyebright's astringent, anti-catarrhal properties can also assist upper respiratory conditions. The Whole Herb is used.

The name of this herb gives some indication as to one of its historical uses – in conditions relating to the eye. In the 14 th century it was used as an eye medicine and it has been described as a herb to ‘cure all evils of the eye’. Today it is sometimes used to help relieve itchy irritated eyes.

Eyebright has anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, as well as being anti-catarrhal, making it useful to relieve watery catarrhal conditions of the nose, sinus and middle ear, including sinusitis. 

Active Ingredient

• Each ‘preservative free’ capsule contains 400mg of Euphrasia officinalis herb powder.

Dosage

• For adults: take two to four capsules with a meal three times daily.
