Features and benefits
- support energy levels and reduce fatigue
- assist in enhancing stamina, endurance and in maintaing peak performance during times of high physical demand e.g. excessive exertion
- assist in convalescence after illness
How it works
Korean ginseng is of benefit for enhancing stamina and endurance and to maintain peak effort during times of high physical and mental demand (eg. excessive exertion). It increases the utilisation of fatty acids, enabling a sparing of stored glycogen in muscle tissue, and resulting in increased physical endurance. Korean ginseng has also been shown to improve the body's stress-coping mechanisms, largely through its effects on the adrenal glands.
Indications for Korean ginseng include: the relief of physical stress caused by haste, noise, tension, mild anxiety and excessive physical exertion. The root has also been traditionally used during periods of convalescence from illness, to assist recovery from stress and mild anxiety, and as a tonic of benefit to the elderly. Taken over a period of time it has been observed that standardised extract of Korean ginseng increases the overall well-being of the individual when measured by various qualitative parameters such as appetite, sleep, absence of moodiness and increased work efficiency.
