How much do the ear candles cost?
There are two types of
ear candles available. Original and Essential Oil
ear candles.
Biosun Original Hopi ear candles are:
AUD$5.00 each for 5 - 9 candles
AUD$4.50 each for 10 or more candles
AUD$4.00 each for 100 or more candles
Biosun Essential Oil Hopi ear candles are:
AUD$5.50 each for
5 - 9 more of the same scent candles
AUD$5.00 each for 10 or more of the same scent candles
AUD$4.50 each for 50 or more of the same scent candles
For example, if you order 10 of the same
scent (eg. Frankincense - Cedar Scented ear candles) the price for those candles
reduces to AUD$4.50 each. If you order 50 or more of the same scented candles
the price reduces to AUD$4.00 per candle.

What are ear candles used for?
Ear candles are best used to treat certain problems involving pain and congestion
in the region, and for relaxation and treating stress and anxiety problems.
Ear candles can be very beneficial in the treatment of sinusitis, nose and throat
congestion, headaches, T.M.J. pain, tinnitus, otitis externa and tropical ear.
Ear candles are an ideal relaxation treatment for stress or anxiety
related symptoms, and also soften the earwax for easier removal.

How do I use the ear candles?
Ear candles are easy to use. For safety reasons we do not recommend that you
carry out the treatment by yourself, it should always be done by a second
person. This will ensure your safety during the treatment and enables a
considerably deeper relaxation.

How do ear candles work?
Ear candles have a purely physical function. A light suction action (chimney
effect) and the movement of the flame create a vibration of air in the
ear candle, generating a massage-like effect on the eardrum.
This induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears,
forehead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earaches and headaches, ear
noise, stress and nervousness.

How often should I use ear candles?
We generally recommend one treatment daily for up to seven days in acute cases,
one to two times a week for chronic indications, and one treatment regularly
every three to four weeks for preventative or revitalizing indications.

When should a person NOT use ear
candles?
In the presence of a perforated eardrum or
tympanotomy tube implants we
strictly do not recommend the use of ear candles. The same applies to all kinds
of inflammations of the ear or skin diseases in and around the ear.
If you suffer from a chronic or
acute disease, or if you feel ear candling may not suit you, you should by all
means consult a therapist of your confidence for further advice.

Can the ear candles be used on children?
BioSun ear candles can be used even on small children.
Ear candles can be used on
children who are old enough to clearly communicate what they are feeling,
usually from 2.5 to 3 years. Also the child should not be frightened or need to
be held down.

Does the ear candle remove wax from the ear?
The ear candles are not intended to remove wax from the ear and are not used for
the purpose of cleaning the ear, however they may soften the wax to assist in
cleaning.

After the
ear candle has burned a yellow powder can be seen. What is this?
The yellow powder is from the
candle itself. It is the condensate of the beeswax that falls down inside the
candle during the burning process. Because beeswax is a liquid (in solid form)
it boils adjacent to the flame. This forms a vapor which then cools and
solidifies (as a yellow powder) away from the flame.

I am taking anti-depressant medication. Will the St John's Wort in the ear
candle react?
No. ear candles are no problem. The concern relates only to St Johns wort taken
internally.

How long does delivery take?
We strive to have all orders sent
out as promptly as possible. All orders are processed and sent out the same day
that we receive them (or the next business day).
Orders outside of Australia
usually arrive within 3 to 10 business days. Australian orders usually arrive
within 2 to 5 business days. We can also have your order sent by EMS courier
delivery which is a faster option but is more expensive.

Are Biosun ear candles safe to use?
BioSun ear candles are precision made from quality materials and contain the
exclusive cross-shaped barrier which prevents any liquid wax or excess
condensate from entering the ear.
There are many inferior "homemade"
ear candles
sold which are usually made from paraffin wax, a petroleum by-product, or a mix
of paraffin and beeswax. Such candles have no safety features and reports of
burns from dripping wax and falling ash are common.

Yes, BioSun ear candles contain the exclusive
cross-shaped barrier which prevents any liquid wax or excess condensate from
entering the ear. This barrier is eco-friendly, being made from environmentally

What are the different types of
Biosun ear candles?
There are two types of BioSun ear
candles available. Original and Essential Oil
ear candles.
Biosun Original Hopi ear candles: Traditional Hopi Indian remedy, precision made
from quality materials. The pure linen roll is impregnated with 100% beeswax and
powdered medicinal herbs including sage, St. John's wort and chamomile.
Biosun Essential Oil Hopi ear candles: combining the advantages of the Original
Hopi Ear Candle with traditional aromatherapy. All aromas are prepared in
accordance with the ancient Chinese YIN and YANG philosophy. Unique, new scent
combinations have been created incorporating the balance of both male and female

What is the shelf-life of beeswax

Why do we only sell beeswax candles, and not those made of Paraffin?
We do not distribute ear candles made of Paraffin as it is a poison, commonly a
petroleum bi-product. The ear candles that we supply are handmade using organic
linen and bee's wax.
BioSun Hopi ear candles are crafted in Germany from the
highest quality ingredients, they are regularly tested at an independent
laboratory in Germany and have been shown to be free of all chemical pesticide
and fungicide residues.
