Pau D’Arco is a traditional South American herb used for its antifungal activity. It also assists in the maintenance of general wellbeing.
Pau D'Arco or Lapacho, is also commonly referred to as Taheebo Tea and grows mainly in Brazil and Argentina. The Incas and native tribes of South America used Pau D'Arco bark externally as a poultice or decoction for treating skin diseases. The trees are renowned for their durable timber and resistance to insect and fungal attack. Part used is inner bark.
Pau D’Arco (also referred to as Taheebo or Lapacho) comes to us from Brazil , and has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries by the native Indians of Brazil. Pau D’Arco contains a chemical called lapachol. It has depurative properties and so can assist to detoxify the blood. It also appears to be able to support the immune system. It is commonly used for candida albicans infestation when combined with a suitable diet plan that eliminates sugar and yeast.
Active Ingredient
- Each ‘preservative free’ capsule contains 500mg of Tabebuia heptaphylla bark powder.
Dosage
- For adults: take two capsules with a meal three times daily.
- Five capsules are equivalent to two cups of Taheebo tea.
- For children age 6-12 years: take one capsule with a meal twice daily.
